Some representatives from the ACLU and NAACP are claiming that the RTA is being racially discriminatory, in light of an investigation showing that 90% of tickets given for riding without a pass were given to African-Americans, even though less than percentage of the riders are African-American.

Absolutely absurd.

Do those officials ever ride the Red Line or the Healthline? There is NOTHING racial about how tickets are checked/given out. A cop gets on. EVERYONE is asked for their pass. If you don't have it, you get a ticket.

How is that racial again?
